Is a scarf for my mommy. The cables make little alternating x's and o's. You can kind of see them better in the next picture, I have no idea why the color looks so vastly different. It's really not quite either one. I love love love my little curlicue fringe.

Hmph. Olympic volleyball is exactly *nothing* like Dead or Alive. Hmph, I say again. There's like, NO boobies. One of the Chinese girls is pretty cute, but nobody comes close to Tina. Grumble grumble.

I found the Russian dressage competitor having some music from Gone With the Wind rather ironic considering what they're doing in Georgia.

the 'lympic show jumping course is all chinese-y and dragon-y and pagoda-y and topiary-y and pond-y. it is so pretty. oh pretty and pwnies. sigh.

Anyway. Pity party over. Here is a kitty I have knitted, called Padme Kittles. From a pattern posted by geobabe, who I have friended, so hi, if you wander over. Thank you for making up such a cute kitty.
The yarn which I used smells of old Christmas tinsel.



Oh btw, I really love how you guys like my little animal dudes. Just so you know. I srsly fucking appreciate it. Makes me feel quite a bit happier, honestly.

Wow. So, Billy Bob as Freddy. My first instinct was OMG HOTT. But then my feelings about the remake in general kicked back in. But then Owen told me that Robert Englund approves. But I don't know if I'm ready to call off the boycott. But then I remember Slingblade. And my deep, enduring love for Billy Bob. Jeez. I don't know. I figured they'd cast Shia LaBoeuf or similar. Something ridiculous. But Billy Bob is scary and creepy and sexy and evil and perfect. Oh dear. What am I to do? Help me, Freddy. What's a girl to do? Take a tranquilizer, finish her book, and try and get some more badly needed sleep. Perchance to dream. Of stripey child molesters with knives for fingers that fascinate more than they should.

You guys know as well as anyone how dearly I love Audrey Hepburn and her work, but I just realized, watching Sabrina again, that watching her makes me feel so... clunky and gauche and insufficient. She's perfect. Perfect and tiny and classy and cute and perfecter than perfect. It's not like watching Marilyn who is perfect but with whom I have a lot (too much) in common, physically and otherwise. Marilyn makes me feel right, Audrey makes me feel wrong. I don't like her any less, though, clearly. It's just something I realized just now.

Tomorrow is a tiny elephant, and then I really really really need to get back to work on my dad's vest and mom's x's and o's scarf. And someday I really need some brown yarn so I can crochet a happy poo.
