How wonderful is it? All the Chinese gymnasts have yellow-golden flames and coils on their leotards while wearing star barrettes? I half-expect them to burst into sparks of roman candles and fly on wires like Ziang Ziyi.

they have the most striking ensembles, for sure. during the parade of nations at the opening ceremonies they said people in china were complaining that they looked like a particular popular tomato-mustard dish, but i think they're gorgeous. people will bitch about anything.
